Welcome to Engage! This Quick Start FAQ answers the most common questions so you can start using the community to build relationships. Email membership@womenintrucking.org with any questions about Engage or your WIT membership.

Managing Your Account

  • What is my log-in information?
    WIT members use the same login information for Engage and for membership. Email membership@womenintrucking.org for assistance. 
  • How do I access Engage on my phone?
    Access WIT's Engage community, WIT news and important announcements on the Women In Trucking App. Both members and non-members can download the app to stay informed in the office or on the road. App Store or Google Play
  • How do I update My Profile and control what's visible?
    On your profile page, please select the pencil icon next to Contact Details under your profile picture. Click the select My Account tab and choose Privacy Settings from the drop-down menu to control what information is visible on your profile.  After you’ve made changes, click Save Changes.
  • How do I manage my notifications and emails?
    You can control the type of emails you get from Engage and how often. This thread explains how.
  • What are communities? How do I join a community?
    Communities are the discussion forums. All members are part of the Engage Open Forum. There are other communities for WIT committees and for WIT's Networking Groups. To see a list of your communities, click Communities and My Communities. To see what communities you can join, click Communities and All Communities; then click on the community you want to join and click Join. 
  • How do I leave a community or unsubscribe from a discussion?
    Visit Your Profile and click on My Account and Community Notifications. Select Leave Community in the Actions column for the discussions you wish to leave.

 

Participating/Posting

  • How do I post a new thread/conversation?
    Visit the community and hit Post New Message, i.e. visit the Engage Open Forum and click the red button. You can also respond from an email by clicking the Post Message link at the top of the email. You can also Start a New Thread.
  • How do I respond to a post?
    Click Reply to post a response.  To send a private message, select Reply Privately (located in the Reply menu). 
  • Why don't I see my post?
    Engage is a moderated community. All posts are reviewed by moderators to ensure that they meet the Community Rules before they are published. Moderators work to approve posts as quickly as possible during work hours. Reach out to membership@womenintrucking.org with any questions.
  • Who can see my posts?
    Posts are visible to members of the community. The Engage Open Forum is visible to all members. Committee, networking group, and Connections communities are visible only to members who have joined those groups. Engage is a member benefit. Non-members can view limited public content in the app, but posting, replying, networking groups, and WIT Connections are available to members only.
  • How can I see recent posts from all of my communities?
    The Member Home includes the most recent posts and replies from all of your communities.
  • How do I find a member and add them as a contact?
    Click the Directory on the navigation bar, then select either Member Directory or Company Directory to search for a member. When you perform a search in the Member Directory, you can click Add as contact to send a request. You can also click the contact request link on any member's profile. Libraries/Resources

  • What is the Library and how do I use it?
    Each community has a library with shared files, resources, and recordings. You can browse or search the library to find documents, webinars, and helpful tools shared by other members.
  • Can I search the communities for posts and resources?
    The AI search function will help you search for anything on Engage. The AI scans posts, replies, and resources across Engage to bring you the most relevant insights instantly. This thread explains how the AI search works.
  • How do I upload a file or add a resource to the library?
    Files are added to the community library when you include an attachment in a discussion post or when you Share a File. The system supports standard files (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), webinars, images and YouTube videos.

 

WIT Connections

  • How do I participate in networking groups and mentoring?
    WIT Connections is a member-only tool to help you find and connect with other members by role, experience level, interests, and goals. Visit the WIT Connections page to join networking groups, find a mentor, become a mentor, or learn about our quarterly mixers.
